Ramblers has recently announced that restricted group walks can commence from 1 July. Full details available here: https://bit.ly/3ifpNBP.
The key points are:
- groups limited to max. 6 people including walk leader,
- advance booking required,
- decision to resume restricted group walks at the discretion of the local group.
After careful consideration of the not insignificant administrative work required by walk leaders and walk programme co-ordinators to put on walks which comply with Ramblers current guidelines we have decided to hold back until such time as group numbers are larger, say 20+. Hopefully this will be in the not too distant future!
Meantime, individuals are at liberty to organise private group walks but these cannot be publicised through BAHR or Ramblers and won't be covered by Ramblers insurance.
