VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED!
On Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd July (this weekend) we have Brighton Pretty Muddy and Race for Life (https://bit.ly/3a0yxw9) taking place at Stanmer Park. We are very short of volunteers – especially course marshals on the Saturday, as we have obstacles as part of the Pretty Muddy event that can’t be used by participants unless there’s a marshal there to oversee them!
Please, please – can you help out yourself and/or spread the word to your members and their families? If anyone can give up just a few hours of their precious time from 10am on either day, we’d be so incredibly grateful. The events should be over by around 1pm, but even if they can only do a couple of hours, we can put volunteers in a location which means they can get away earlier.
It's a wonderful event – lovely atmosphere, and we need people who are happy to cheer, encourage and ensure participants are heading the right way. Overwhelming feedback after our events is that our marshals and their encouragement enhances the event experience for our participants – and that in turn can impact our fundraising. Every single pound raised from Race for Life goes directly to our Cancer Research UK funded doctors, scientists and nurses to support their life-saving research. It really does make a difference.
If you or anyone you know can help at all, please contact the event organiser, Courtney (courtney.culverhouse@cancer.org.uk) who will be able to share all the necessary information.
Thanks so much for your time and your understanding.
Kindest regards
