Discover the High Weald National Landscape. Located in the heart of South East England and covering parts of Kent, Sussex and Surrey, the High Weald National Landscape is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - now National Landscapes.
An extensive network of footpaths, bridleways and ancient byways makes this historic landscape a walker’s paradise - so come and explore it with us! There will be forty plus guided walks on offer led by leaders keen to impart their knowledge of the High Weald with you. There will also be forty downloadable self-guided walks on offer for the month of September. All checked out.
From avid ramblers and nature spotters to history buffs and photography fans, there’s something for everyone to enjoy - or you can simply take in the view.

Join Us in Celebrating the Opening of the England Coast Path
As many of you will know, after a 25 year campaign by the Ramblers, the King Charles III England Coast Path was officially opened by His Majesty at an event in March at Cuckmere Haven attended by, amongst others, our Chief Executive. This is an amazing achievement – at 2,700 miles the KCIIIECP is the world’s longest managed coastal path. It has taken 19 years, seven prime ministers and £28m to create this new National Trail.
To celebrate this event, a number of Groups in Sussex Area have organized walks along different stretches of the coast during July and August. For example on Wednesday 15 July Beachy Head Group have an “All the Cliffs” walk from Seaford to Eastbourne and on Tuesday 4 August Mid-Sussex Group have a 10 mile walk around Newhaven, Peacehaven, Telscombe and Piddinghoe. You can find all of these walks and contact details for the Walk Leaders by searching the Walks Calendar at top right on the front page of this website. Please come along and join in the celebration! You do not need to be a member of the Ramblers in order to come on one of our walks – you can attend up to three walks before deciding whether to join.
