Update 30's-50's Lewes, Southease and Glynde Circular 24th September 2017

Following the new walk leader planning meeting I felt my walk could do with further description!
The first 8 miles are before the lunch stop, the river does have a tendency to get a bit muddy but was mostly dry on Saturday. There is a steep ascent after southease and and steep descent off the South Downs towards Glynde, this is uneven under foot. We have to cross the A27 to get to the village.
After lunch there is a steep steady ascent followed by undulating paths to the golf course.
Anyone wishing to leave at Glynde, there are trains every 45 mins past the Hour back to lewes and Brighton. Currently no engineering works! Sadly the pub remains closed in Glynde,so this is a picnic only walk, please come prepared for a potentially windy Rainy Auntumn lunch!
Happy Walking
