PRIVACY POLICY
Dear Brighton & Hove Ramblers Website Member,
You may have heard about the new General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), that comes into effect May 25, 2018. To help the Brighton & Hove Ramblers Website comply with GDPR Privacy requirements please review your privacy settings by logging onto the website and going to 'Settings' (top left of the page). On the My Settings page review your preferences on each of the Profile, Privacy, Email, My Page and Connections pages. Don't forget to click Save at the bottom of each page!
Photos, announcements, comments
GDPR requires your consent to identify you in photos, announcements and comments so please inform us (admin@bahr.org.uk) if you want any photos removed or announcements/comments amended. In the future, please continue to share you photos, announcements and comments on the website but do bear in mind that you need to get consent if you want to identify someone.
How is your data used?
The data you have supplied will only be used for the operation of the website, such as to display name and photo for announcements, and to email you from time to time details of BAHR events and Newsletters. Your data will not be shared with any other organisations or used for marketing or commercial purposes. If you do not want to receive emails please go to the Email settings page and check the 'Turn Off all Emails' box at the bottom of the page.
How do we protect your personal data?

You accept the inherent security implications of sending information over the Internet and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless we have been negligent. All information you provide to us is stored by our web hosting service on secure password protected systems.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold on you at any time. If you would like to make a request for information please email admin@bahr.org.uk. You have the right to request modifications, updates or removal of your data.
