THIS WALK REPLACES THE BURGESS HILL - PLUMPTON WALK.
Due to waterlogged conditions around Burgess Hill I have changed the walk to one on higher ground around Lewes!
In the morning we head for Offham Hill with spectacular views over the Ouse valley and walk part of the old Lewes racecourse. Lunch in Lewes where there is a choice of pubs and cafés. The afternoon section of the walk takes us to Malling Down Nature Reserve and we retrace some of the route of the disused Lewes-Uckfield railway. Plenty to see!
Getting there: meet at Churchill Square bus stop G to catch #28 at 09:35am. Arrive Lewes bus station opposite Waitrose @ 10:10am. The walk will start from the bus stop @ 10:15am.
Return: buses to Brighton @ 15 & 45 mins each hour.
Hope you can make it!
Where does the walk actually end and how long is it? Thanks. Cathy
