This 11 mile walk begins from the picturesque East Sussex village of Frant, situated in the High Weald. The scenery along the route is very varied and ranges from quiet countryside and woods, to lanes and the bustling Pantiles.
Lunch will be in Tunbridge Wells, where there is a choice of various eateries and pubs, either in the Pantiles or in the nearby High Street. Our stop will probably last for about 75 minutes.
Kindly post a comment here or preferably on the BAHR 30s-50s Meetup Site if you are able to offer any members a lift from the south end of Preston Park, Brighton (near to the Rose Garden) for a 9.25am departure. The journey should take around 50 minutes via the A27 / A26 (signposted Tunbridge Wells) / Eridge Green / Bunny Lane / A267 / Frant route. Expenses are shared between the driver and passengers at the rate of 30p per mile. I shall be meeting everyone at the starting point by The Green. The walk will then begin at 10.30am latest, so please ensure that you arrive on time.
