Start 10.15 am from Pig & Butcher, Coopers Row, Five Ash Down, Nr Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 3AN

The walk will begin from outside the pub immediately following the arrival of the #29 bus from Brighton.

A 10.5 mile walk mostly across gently undulating farmland and through woodland north of Uckfield towards southern edge of Ashdown Forest, including sections of the Vanguard Way and Wealdway. Likely to be muddy in parts.  Lunch stop at Barnsgate Manor (wide choice of food options inc. roasts and other main courses @ £12.50, starters @ £6, deserts @ £5.50, sandwiches @£5-6, cakes, etc., or bring picnic to eat in the grounds). Optional pub stop at end of walk. 

Accessible by public transport: Bus # 29 departs from Brighton Churchill Square, Stop G at 9:05am (hourly service). Arrives Pig & Butcher, Five Ash Down at approximately at 10:15am. Leader will be going directly to the starting point.

There is also car parking in Coopers Row and north of the pub towards A26. Kindly post a comment on the BAHR Meetup site if you are able to offer any members a lift from Brighton, south end of Preston Park for a prompt 9:30am departure.
