Please join us for an attractive 11 mile circular walk through the south eastern area of the Ashdown Forest. On a clear day, there are some excellent views over the Sussex countryside from the higher sections of our route.

The walk begins at 10.30am from the ‘Kings Standing’ car park, located at the junction of the B2026 and the B2188, approximately 1.3 miles north of Duddleswell, near Fairwarp, East Sussex (on the right hand side of the road if approaching from the south - click on the link for map and then see arrow). The nearest postcode TN22 3JD is 0.4 miles northwest of the car park.

Kindly post a comment on the BAHR 30s-50s Meetup Site if you are able to offer any members a lift from the south end of Preston Park, Brighton (near to the Rose Garden) for a 9.40am departure at the latest. The journey from there should take around 40 minutes. Expenses are shared between the driver and passengers at the rate of 30p per mile. We will be meeting everyone at the starting point.

Our lunch stop will be at the Foresters Arms in Fairwarp, which is a traditional country inn. We have booked tables for the group, so let us know if you would like one of the remaining pre-reserved places. Alternatively, you can bring along a picnic to have on the green opposite, where there is also some seating.

We look forward to seeing some of you this Sunday.

Cheers

Chris G and Clare H
