This is a linear walk along the riverside and into the Downs. It's about 8 miles long and mostly flat, with some stiles and some short climbs. There are wide views across the Ouse valley. The paths may be muddy after rain.
I will be at Brighton Stop E from 9.30. The bus 13X leaves from Brighton Churchill Square, Stop E at 9:46.It arrives Newhaven, Lower Place at approximately 10:14 feel free to meet us there. If your going by bus a Saver ticket then you can return to Brighton on the number 29 bus back from Lewes to Brighton at the end of the walk.
There is a pub stop at the Abergavenny Arms in Rodmell: http://www.abergavennyarms.com/. Last time I went the food was lovely! Or feel free to bring a picnic.
