Join me for an attractive and hilly 10.5 mile walk around Wilmington, Butts Brow and Jevington, to walk off all those Christmas mince pies. Moderate pace.
Please bring cars to south end of Preston Park (near to the Rose Garden) for a 9.15am departure if you are driving up from Brighton. Members without their own transport may be waiting there for a lift, and we do not want anyone left behind. It would be really helpful if any car owners with spare places could post a comment to that effect either here or on the BAHR 30s-50s Meetup site. Expenses are divided equally between the driver and passengers at the rate of 30p per mile. Although there is free parking at the public car park in Wilmington, spaces are limited, so where possible, car sharing is advised.
I shall be meeting everyone at the starting point, and the aim is to set off promptly at 10.00am.
Lunch will be at the Eight Bells in Jevington. I have managed to book a table for eight at the pub. If you would like one of the reserved places, then kindly contact me asap. We are not expecting to stop there for longer than 60-75 minutes. The alternative location for a picnic lunch is in the grounds of the nearby church, where there are a number of benches.
Look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday.
