Hello everyone,

If you fancy a bit more of a challenging walk a bit further away from Brighton, then please join me on the above walk this Sunday (16th).

Starting 10.30 from Merstham station.  (Car park costs £2.15, with some free on-street parking available nearby; can be reached from Brighton by travelling to end of M23 on to A23 and then U-turn to A23 southwards towards Redhill - or accessible by public transport: Brighton station for the 09:27 to Gatwick Airport, arrives 09:58, then 10:11 to Merstham, arrives 10:25. I will be driving directly to starting point).

A circular walk in the North Downs, initially heading south along Tandridge Border path to South Nutfield, then following Greensand Way westwards to late picnic lunch stop at The Skimmington Castle after ca. 9 miles. After lunch heading north, with a steep climb to the North Downs Way, then heading East via Reigate Fort back to Merstham.  (And for those that came on my last walk, I assure you that this one will be within the distance!).

Above details also on Ramblers website.
