We are the Brighton and Hove group of the national Ramblers. Walking and socialising in and around the South East of England.

This Sunday's 20-40s walk takes us to the picturesque coastal village of Rottingdean. Meeting at the Level at 10am we take the now traditional route over the racecourse to Woodingdean down into the heart of the village for lunch at the excellent White Horse which has a very reasonably priced carvery. Alternatively there's lunch al fresco on the beach or at one of the many tearooms.
After lunch we walk via the Marina back to the Palace Pier where the walk concludes with a much needed doughnut or lolly.
Hope to see a good turnout with possibly some new faces.
Don't forget the clocks go back an hour!
Cheers

Hi Nick, the BBC is forecasting heavy rain for tomorrow (although others just light).  Will you still be going if so?  Will I also need my poles for the walk or is it mostly on flatish ground?

I am a bit over 40 (but only a little!!!) Will I be very outnumbered?

Regards

Sue

Hi Sue

Charles is leading this walk so may well comment too... Walks go ahead unless weather is exceptional - so will happen if it does rain (hopefully only showers tomorrow). There are hills on way there (starting with Elm Grove), flat walk back after lunch along undercliffe.

You'll find that Charles and some others are a bit above 40 too - so no worries there!

Nick
