The national ramblers web site is very positive about dogs on ramblers walks. In the group walks section it says

It is disappointing to see that Brighton and Hove Ramblers is further discouraging dogs and their humans from walking with the group by increasing the…
Message on behalf of Mike Bates, Chairman Brighton and Hove Ramblers:
We have received a report that a walker was attacked by Highland cattle last weekend, and was seriously injured, on a footpath just north of Robertsbridge in East Sussex.
The landowner is already known to Ramblers and to ESCC for making the path (FP Hurst Green 10 near Bugsell Mill Farm at TQ723255) as unpleasant as possible.
PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CARE IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING THIS…Continue

Many of you will be aware of the organisational discussions that have been taking place over the last six months. These discussions began as we saw members move freely between the 20’s-40’s and 40/50’s groups. Effectively these groups, with their similar walking styles, Sunday pub lunches and regular walkers, have already merged. We wanted to reflect this reality by changing the name – something particularly important for…Continue
Please see the following message from Elaine. As you'll see we currently have 11 gaps for the next programme with only six walks for the 20's-40's group. So if you can, please add a walk

Our 20-40’s walks are more popular than ever. However we are struggling to find walk leaders. Despite the number of walkers increasing the number of leaders is going down. This has led to some gaps in the programme despite some of the remaining regular leaders helping by putting two or more walks on
PLEASE HELP US BY LEADING A WALK. If you’re not sure here are a few things that may help:
- There are many routes published in books/internet. Alternatively other walkers…Continue

We've had a couple of fake members join up and send spam friendship/wall posts with the aim of asking you for email addresses etc. We've removed these members and made the sign up process a bit harder with the addition of a question as well as letters/numbers to type to try to stop false members.
Your details on the Brighton Ramblers site are secure - but if you had emailed these members from your email account then they would have gained your email address. If you communicate…Continue
