Duncan. Perfectly timed walk today from Alfriston the weather being very kind to us again. Spotted heaps of mushrooms along the way and I now know what a badger sett looks like. A few jokes along the way, some funnier than others. You know who you are :-). Great day guys and hope to see you all soon. Inka

PLEASE NOTE This walk is not linear as described in the programme its circular, starting from and returning to Polegate Stn.
Should anyone wish to make it linear by dropping out in East Dean, 7 miles into the walk at lunch time. That would be fine, provided the leader is clearly told.
cheers
Terry

Update
Having now run the cotton over the route for Sunday im afraid it is nearer to 12 miles than 10. This being the case im afraid in these days of deminishing light, the lunch stop in East Dean will probably need to be reduced to 30mins. This provides plenty of time for either a picnic lunch, food in the hikers cafe…

Meet at the East side of Preston Park Station at 9.30 for this Thursday's walk. It will go from the car park at Arlington Reservoir, charge for parking, circle the reservoir and then to Arlington, past Michelham Priory and through Upper Dicker.
As usual there will be the opportunity for a post walk drink at one of the local pubs.
Please let me know if you plan to go straight to the start.

We're just north of Lewes this week for a relatively flat but scenic 8 mile walk including Isfield.
There are a few muddy patches so boots are advisable!
For those going directly to the start point, we'll be starting from the car park just outside Barcombe Mills at around 10.30. Map/grid ref in link below. If driving from Brighton take the A26 out of Lewes. Turn left signposted Barcombe (just before garage) and then after a mile or so into car park on right…

Hi,
does anyone know a free website to convert the grid references to post code or just to be able to view where the grid references are on a map as I have no clue how to find the start of the walks.
Thanks
Suzy

It was mentioned on a recent walk that the Walks Programme on here does not mention the leader's name - which is correct.
But, if you click on Docs and then select the walks programme newsletter, then you can see who's when.
