I am leading the Small Dole, Edburton and Bramber Circular Walk this Sunday.
The walk initially quite flat, passing through farmland and woods, but ascends very steeply onto the South Downs at Edburton. We follow the South Downs Wway along the ridge to Truleigh Hill and descend gradually with views of Adur Valley, crossing the River Adur to join the Downs Link. This path takes us on to Bramber and Upper Beeding for a pub lunch or picnic. The shorter return leg heads north…Continue

Have you tried to use the bridleway past Lewes racecourse buildings since June and found most of it fenced off? Or are you concerned to read that it has been fenced off?

It used to be very wide, up to 11 metres across. If you were going to or from the prison direction you just kept straight…Continue

This walk is a little hilly at the start but you are then rewarded with fabulous views from Chanctonbury ring and then again from Cissbury Ring. A chance to explore the iron age fort and then, after your gentle 7 miles, reward yourself with a meal or bevy in the village. This walk is accessible by bus from Worthing South Street. 10.15 a.m. start. Bring a snack for the mid morning stop.
