The forecast is sunshine for tomorrow! However, the northerly wind will be strong so if you are coming please have warm clothing as part of the walk is quite exposed. Some respite in the pub in Eastbourne; probably best to come in the pub for lunch or coffee. Hope to see you in East Dean.

This Sunday's 20-40's ramble takes us to the beautiful village of Rottingdean via Woodingdean. This is a half day walk which finishes either at or after lunch in the village. For those fresh and fit enough to continue, one can do the part along the undercliff to the Palace Pier.
Don't bring vehicles. Look forward to your company, old and new.

Thank you for being good hill walkers! I have just checked with my trusty bit of measuring string and the walk was actually 13 miles so it goes to show you can't believe what books always tell you!!
This walk will be about 10 miles now but still a few hills - worth it for the views and if we are lucky trainee paragliders who were very entertaining the other week.
Train from Brighton Station @ 10.09am (I shall be at the station from 9.50 am on the seats nearest the photo booth. I can get a few people cheaper train tickets but the terms of the rail discount mean you will have to travel with me there and back I'm afraid), arriving Lewes @ 10.25 for…Continue

A request to all Ramblers from B & H Footpath Secretary
The existing path in the Roedean area is under challenge, we are informed that this path is not a right of way and in consequence could be closed off and lost to the general public. To prevent this loss of access, it is essential to claim a DMMO (Definitive Map Making Order). If you or anyone you know has used the path over a period of 20 years, please contact me. The path provides access from Cliff Road / Approach to the bus…Continue

I've only had one offer of a walk for the next programme (thanks Chris) - so everything Nick says re 20/40s walks applies equally here. Without walkers volunteering to lead you simply won't have a programme of Sunday walks. So please do your part and send me a walk, and encourage everyone you know to do the same. Full details are in the original announcement posted 20 Sept.

Our 20-40’s walks are more popular than ever. However we are struggling to find walk leaders. Despite the number of walkers increasing the number of leaders is going down. This has led to some gaps in the programme despite some of the remaining regular leaders helping by putting two or more walks on
PLEASE HELP US BY LEADING A WALK. If you’re not sure here are a few things that may help:
- There are many routes published in books/internet. Alternatively other walkers…Continue
