I'm going to pick up from the Level tomorrow for the Cuckfield walk if anyone wants a lift. I have room for 3. Thought it would be best to let people know, due to lack of cars at Level recently.

From what i can see there are NO Engineering works on Sunday that will affect the
one hour train journey from Brighton to Hastings.
The walk leader ( me ) will be at Hastings stn at 1030, there will be no one at Brighton Stn at 0920 so please make you own way onto the train.
As it says on the "tin", this is a surprisingly challenging walk and NOT recommended if
this would be one of your first walks.
So if an amble around Cuckfield is not for you, I…Continue

Hi all, the weather is looking better for tomorrow today than it did yesterday but who knows what will happen overnight! It currently looks wet in the morning and dry in the afternoon with the forecasted gales not likely to set in until later in the afternoon. I will be at the Level at 9.45am and then at the Flying Fish Pub at 10.15 and we can make a sensible and safe decision about whether the walk will go ahead then. My earlier advice regarding sun lotion may have been a bit optimistic! If…Continue

Hi all! Join me for a walk with some great views on Sunday. The first half is ‘little walked’ with the opportunity to look at our South Downs from a different angle. There is a short ten minute stretch with brambles where you might want to cover your legs despite the use of my secateurs last Sunday! We meander up and down looking across to the Coast and the South Downs and stop for a picnic on the South Downs Way looking out to Firle, Bo Peep, Lewes and beyond. No café or pub but hey, we are…Continue
