CHIDDINGLY CIRCULAR THURSDAY AUGUST 2ND

Just to advise this walk has about 13 styles, most of which are in good order and should not pose any problems. The walk takes the route of following the Vanguard way north turning left near Stream Farm,past Coneyburrow wood,Hawkhurst Common,down the Wealdway to Old Whyly,East Hoathly and Chiddingly. 30s-50s Ashdown Forest, Crowborough and Black Hill Circular – Sunday 22nd July 2018

This walk is 11 miles long and takes us through the attractive eastern area of the Ashdown Forest which includes the famous Five Hundred Acre Wood, and also the outskirts of Crowborough, where we will be stopping for lunch at the White Hart on the Green. Alternatively, bring your own picnic to have on one of the many benches located nearby.

How to stay cool (er)

If anyone gets really really hot when out walking in the summer, I purchased these as I knew that the South Coast Mighty Hike would be a killer- they were fabulous and I'll be wearing them out on a Sunday for the rest of the summer!

For those of less fitness or unable to walk long distances or wishing to escape from tennis or football this is for you. The walk is flat only 4 miles and easy paced. Brighton & Hove Ramblers Annual BBQ Sat July 14th

This is to invite all members to my field in Ditchling for our annual BBQ. See walks programme for details about the 4 mile walk. You can arrive any time from midday onwards.  The field is in Spatham Lane BN6 8XJ   TQ337157 & I will place a sign near the gate.
