This 11½ mile walk is from the picturesque East Sussex village of Mayfield and takes us through the undulating countryside of the High Weald. It features some attractive stretches of woodland and crosses the Deer Park next to scenic Wadhurst Lake.
I shall meet everyone in Mayfield public car park, which is located down the narrow Holders Lane, off the High Street. You will find it signposted on the right just past the imposing Grade 1 listed Middle House Inn (the pub’s post code is…

Hi all,
Come and join us for this popular evening walk around Firle, taking in Firle Beacon and passing by Charleston House before returning to the village of Firle for a post walk drink.
The walk is approximately 4.5 miles in length and includes some hills but the climb is worth it for the views.
We meet at the south end of Preston Park (near the rose garden) at 7pm on Wednesday evening, before driving to the walk start in Firle village.
I hope to see…

Come and join us for a nice walk through the forest and on to the downs before we go down to Alfriston for lunch,if you want to do just the morning part of the walk there is a bus from Alfriston once an hour which will take you back to the start of the walk, after lunch we leave Alfriston and follow the south downs way.
When we reach the top we do have a fairly long stop to admire the views, before continuing back through the forest and back to the start.
Thanks Big Neil

I hope you can join me on a circular walk with panoramic views from the woodland at Angmering Estate via Barpham Hill, onto the South Downs Way and down to picturesque Houghton Bridge (Amberley) for lunch at either the Bridge Inn, the Riverside Cafe or picnic lunch. After lunch we follow the river Arun and then walk via Burpham and Wepham, past the Knell and through Wepham Wood back to the car park. Approximately 7 miles is before lunch and 5 miles after. There is a steady climb onto the…

Just a reminder that there are no train services to Seaford on Sunday at present.
And bus services can be unpredictable as a result. We aim to get away for 10am: if the scheduled bus is delayed please let Tess know on 07738624793.
Michael will be at the Cuckmere Inn from 11am for anyone who is delayed or wants a somewhat shorter walk.
Regards
Michael and Tess

Hi all, Just to let you know the mornings walk is nearly two thirds of the walk so we won't reach the pub until about 2pm so I suggest you make sure you have a snack to keep you going. The weather's looking good for Saturday, the wind might even have dropped by then!
