This is a circular walk of approximately 9 miles around the Houghton area near Amberley, Bury and Bignor. There are some hills to climb which should afford some good views and provide a good picturesque lunch stop. There may also still be some mud.
Please note the the lunch stop on this walk will be a picnic, so please be sure to bring some food with you.
When this walk was planned back in February, I was expecting to be basking in spring sunshine by now!…Continue

Now that we are living most of the time in Abergavenny, Wales we wondered if there would be any interest in Ramblers coming here to walk for a weekend over this summer. We are in a really beautiful part of the country which affords great walking. We would be happy to lead walks and to book accommodation for you. If you think you might be interested please email email@example.com . As this is initially just to give us an idea of…Continue

Dear all, Unfortunately I am no longer able to lead the walk on the 21st April. Hopefully someone else might be able to step in with an alternative walk. I would be happy to swap to a later date. Many apologies, Hannah

i am leading a walk on Sunday 14th April in the Ashdown Forest which promises to be an enjoyable one if the spring weather continues. The meeting place for the walk has now been changed to London Road station and not the Level because of the Brighton Marathon.
Hope to see you there
Unless I missed it somehow, I cannot see a long walk on the programme this year.
Never mind, a couple days ago I spotted a poster outside the Queen Alexander Hospital Home asking for participants in the Just Walk Charity Challenge.
I'm just about decided to enter for the 60 km walk (other shorter/more sensible distances are available), but I thought I would first ask if any people have any comments/experience of the event?
Please see the Events page for details of two special events that are being organised in conjunction with the Cotswold Outdoor shop in Western Road, Brighton.
In order for the discount shopping event to go ahead we need some commitments, so please register your interest by using the event RSVP.
If you are interested in the map reading event you will…Continue
