The weather forecast for tomorrow has now improved, looks like the rain should clear by mid morning, hopefully by the time the walks are due to start and then should stay dry. Hope to see some of you tomorrow.

The weather forecast is not too bad for my walk on Saturday which is about 10 miles starting from the Goat Car Park on Ashdown Forest and walking round the edge of Forest Row to Ashurst Wood for pub or picnic lunch. Some track/byroad walking which might be beneficial as not too muddy. Meet at Preston Park Station East Side at usual time of 9.30 am. I will meet the group at the start of the walk, but there will be cars at the station. Hope to see you there. Jean 07985608845

Please join us for a linear walk from Balcombe to Falmer which follows the path of the train line down from London - although not slavishly. If this sounds a bit daunting you are welcome to join us at the start for part of the walk - there are exit points at stations en route. The pace…

After lunch, the route is across fields, through woodland and along streams before a final barely noticeable rise back to the car park. Opportunity for a second pub stop at Poynings.
Meet at the Level at 10 (please bring…Continue

Tess and I are putting on an informal programme of walks for a visiting group of Maltese ramblers in early May. We'll have a varied programmes of walks starting mainly in Seaford. A couple of these will be joint with RA200 but if any members are free they're welcome to join us on the other days. If you'd like a copy of the full programme send me an email: email@example.com
I've had a good level of interest and have booked the cottages today. Anyone who always wanted to go to Dorset but couldn't face the thought of the hard beds can still send me a deposit of £20 to secure a lovely double, twin or single room in one of three cottages in Abbotsbury. And, importantly, there are several pubs in the village!Continue
