Please join us this Sunday 3rd April for a 10mile circular walk onto the Downs with some fantastic views along the way. We will walk down to Rodmell for lunch at The Abergavenny Arms, or bring your own picnic if you prefer. Afterwards, we head back onto the Downs and return through the prettiest village in Sussex that time forgot, Telscombe. We will finish at the start of the walk where tea can be taken.

A half day walk across the downs above Brighton via the Hillfort and down into stanmer park to the cafe. Return via Lewes Road and then up through the wild park to rejoin the downs. On a fine day there will be fabulous views over Brighton and the sea in one direction and rolling country side at the other, Short coffee stop at the cafe. Meet at the bottle bank at the top of Hollingbury Park.

The car park where this walk starts is call the Kithurst Hill Car Park, but the name is not shown on the programme. It is signposted from the B2139 Amberley Road. The plan is to go to the Sportsman Pub at Cross Gates afterwards.

Some great views, and a good walk. Leader will meet everyone at the starting point, the public car park in Saltdean Park Road, Saltdean (opposite Saltdean Library and the Lido). Free parking.
This walk is accessible by public transport and car. Bus # 13X departs from Stop D at Brighton Station on Queens Road at 9:40. Arrives Saltdean (adj Longridge Avenue on Marine Drive) at approximately 10:02. Walk starts as soon as this bus arrives.
