This walk of 6 miles will start from the church car park, off Church Road, where some parking is possible, otherwise park where you can. The walk will be on muddy, if not frozen, ground in places and numerous stiles. Wellingtons or gaiters are advised. The rewards are fine views across the High Weald, a rocky sandstone outcrop, oast houses, and an impressive railway viaduct. Drink or lunch at the Buxted Inn.

Will it be spring or winter on Sunday for this classic Ashdown Forest walk? 8 miles starting at Gils Lapp Car Park in the heart of the Forest via Withyham to pub lunch at Hartfield (or picnic or cafe), returning via Pooh Sticks Bridge. It was muddy last week so come prepared. Please let me know if going to start.
