Due to the fact heavy snow and winds are forecast for tomorrow I think the Bo Peep Car Park will be too dangerous so this walk is cancelled. Weather permitting I will lead a local walk instead, if you are interested please come to Preston Park or ring me in the morning using the number on the programme.
Just a request for those attending this walk. There is a small car park in Fletching which may only have limited space. If possible please come to Preston Park Station at 9-30 so that we can arrange for the fewest cars to travel. If you have a full car by all means go direct.

Hi everybody, the forecast is good (at the moment), who knows, even the mud may have dried up.
This walk starts and finishes early to allow everyone to either go to the Albion Cup game (starts at 3) or to escape the bedlam in good time! Be aware that there has been some fairly crazy match-day parking at Wild Park, so you may want to consider your getaway if parking there!
In view of recent discussions, this is an assistance dog (and Humans) walk only.

The national ramblers web site is very positive about dogs on ramblers walks. In the group walks section it says
We know that many people enjoy walking with their four-legged friends, so we encourage all our walking groups to allow dogs on walks. Registered Assistance Dogs are allowed on any walk."
It is disappointing to see that Brighton and Hove Ramblers is further discouraging dogs and their humans from walking with the group by increasing the…
Two messages for the walk on Saturday first off the start time for the walk is wrong it should be 10.15. Thanks to Jules for spotting it and apologies from me for not spotting it.
Message number two is can anyone confirm they are bringing a car to Preston Park on Saturday morning so I can be sure of a lift (public transport to Alfriston is a bit of a pain) and Jules is also hoping to get a lift there.
Weather's looking ok but there will be some mud.
Due to very muddy conditions around Ditchling I have modified the route to avoid Ditchling and make The Half Moon at Plumpton our lunchtime stop. Distance is now 12 rather than 11 miles. All other details remain unchanged but please check beforehand.
Hope to see you on Sunday!

Join me this Saturday for a varied 9-10 mile walk with stunning views - starting in old Shoreham, climbing onto the downs via Mill Hill and heading north to Beeding Hill before dropping down into Upper Beeding for a pub lunch at the Kings Head. Returning to Shoreham along the west bank of the River Adur and the Shoreham Toll Bridge. Very hilly pre-lunch; flat and likely to be muddy after lunch.
We are meeting at the Red Lion pub in Shoreham at 10am. The No. 2 bus…Continue

Please join us on our walk this Sunday.
The weather is forecast to be reasonable this Sunday with no rain although under foot it may be muddy so please bring appropriate walking boots and poles if need be.
This is a circular walk from Falmer Station via Falmer Pond to Lewes and back to Falmer by a different route.
There are fantastic views of the Sussex Downs. If you prefer to walk one way there are frequent trains from Lewes back to Falmer and Brighton.
