Reminder: 30s–50s Southease to Brighton via Kingston Linear - Sunday 26th February 2017

A linear 13 mile walk from Southease, dropping down to The Juggs in Kingston for a pub lunch, or picnic nearby. Afterwards, a moderate ascent and along to Brighton past the racecourse to finish at the station.



Accessible by public transport: Meet 09:30 @ Brighton Station (TQ309049, BN1 3XP) for the 09:47 train to Southease (Seaford). Scheduled to arrive at 10:10. Meet leader in front of the coffee booth in the middle of the concourse.

Southwater Circular Walk- Saturday 18th February

Due to my continuing incapacity this walk will now be led by Mike Thatcher. All details remain as for the walks programme with refreshments at the end of the walk probably in Cowfold. Any enquiries before the walk to Mike 01273 500341. Hope for a good walk with fair weather.

Reminder: 30s–50s Eastbourne Downs, Birling Gap and Willingdon Hill Circular – Sunday 12th February 2017

This 10.5 mile walk is through classic downland scenery, offering some panoramic sea and inland views, especially on a clear day.

Those of you travelling by bus should catch the No. 12 at 9.37am from stop K opposite the Sea Life Centre, or alternatively at 9.30am from stop E at Brighton Churchill Square. Tomorrow's Walk (Thursday 2 Feb) - Staplefield

Please note that it is quite likely that tomorrow's walk will be cancelled due to the adverse weather (heavy rain forecast during the morning).  Apart from the wet forecast, the walk is in the Weald and therefore likely to be a bit of a quagmire after all the recent rain!

I will however be at Preston Park Station by 9.30am just to confirm the above.
