So far I have two walks for the next programme and that includes one that I am involved in! So please, please, please send in your walks asap. I understand that the walks are being very well attended and that there are lots of new faces. It would be a shame not to have the programme brimming with the walks we all so clearly enjoy (spot the desperate blackmail!!).
It is dead easy - pick a walk from a book or the internet, fill in the table in the leaders area…

Philippa Creasey and I are organising the Hay weekend this year. The centre has been booked for four nights Friday June 1st - Monday 4th. The cost will be £75. This includes the centre accomodation plus a meal on Friday evening and food for three packed lunches.
Please send cheques to Philippa - either a £10 deposit or the full amount:
Arlington Circular. Either meet at Brighton station for the 10.20 to arrive Berwick at 10.43 or meet at Berwick station. The circular walk is about 7 miles round Arlington Reservoir, past Michelham Priory, with lunch at the Plough Inn in Upper Dicker (or bring packed lunch).

Just a reminder for the Ditchling circular starting at the Jack and Jill windmills. Bring packed lunch or lunch at Greyhound in Keymer (likely to be busy!) . A muddy walk with a nice breezy stretch up to the Beacon from the Windmills, and a brilliant hill to finish!!

We’ll be catching the number 12 bus at 10.08 from Bus stop E at Churchill Square (by Marks & Spencer’s). You can buy a saver ticket from many newsagents beforehand for £3.50. We should arrive in Rottingdean at the stop opposite the White Horse at 10.24 for anyone who wants to meet us there.
We’ll then walk a loop up on to the Downs returning to Rottingdean for lunch where there are a variety of pubs, teashops and fish and chip shops.
The afternoon will be a shorter loop…Continue
Please note the start will be from Spierbridge Raod, G.R. TQ083146, not the long stay car park as shown on the original versions of the programme. There is a 5 hour limit on the car park.

yesterday, Thursday the 5th, I completed my 3rd walk with the group.I must say I enjoyed just like the other two occasions.I could have enjoyed lot more if only..? Being the mid week I assumed that most of the group are retired like me or semi retired. This walk meant to be a leisurely walk. Why not stop and look around and admire the view when we reach a spot. After all we have no train to catch. Why not allow time to interact among the group while admiring the view.Say just at least 5…Continue

Charles Townley is leading his classic coastal walk on Sunday along some of the seven sisters. 6 miles with some hills but at a fairly relaxed pace. Option for pub lunch at the Beachy Head.
We meet at 10 at the level. It's a 20/40's led walk but all ages are welcome as ever
If you're new to the walking group, more details on the "about us" page
