London Walk Saturday 22nd July

There is an alteration to the train time to London Bridge on Saturday.The train for London Bridge leaves Brighton Station at 9.32 .  This does not call at Preston Park as originally noted, so anyone who hoped to board at Preston Park will now have to go to Brighton Station.It is not strictly necessary to purchase a Travel Card if returning by Thames Clipper, but the card allows a third off the price, and has the flexibility of returning from Greenwich by the DLR if necessary.GeoffSee More

New Forest Walk Saturday 6th August

The New Forest Circular is replacing my usual Isle of Wight walk this year, and will be a flat walk of about 8 miles.  The day return from Brighton ( or Hove) to Brockenhurst is £13.65 with a railcard, catching the 9.00am South West Trains service from Brighton, changing at Southampton Central.We will first visit the War Memorial and cemetery to New Zealand WW1 soldiers buried near the church, before walking through woodland.  A table has been booked at the Filly Inn for lunch but you can bring…See More

Isle of Wight Walk, Saturday August 8th

The walk details for the Isle of Wight walk has changed.  It will now be a linear walk from Newport to Brading across the spine of the island.  After walking from Ryde Pierhead to the Esplanade, we shall catch a bus to Newport ( every 8 mins) where the walk starts.  Lunch will be at the White Lion, Arreton.  Train time and ticket remains the same.  For more details please see the public walks programme.GeoffSee More

London Walk tomorrow June 20th Lee River & Olympic Park

WALKING HOLIDAY IN THE COTSWOLDS MAY 2015

Isle of Wight Walk Saturday 16th August

Thursday Walk 17th July Bolney Circular

This Thursday's walk will be just under 6 miles and will be a mix of woodland, fields and quiet country lanes.  There were some awkward muddy patches in places when I checked last weekend so boots are advised.If you are unable to park at or near the car park ( just beyond the pub), there should be plenty of room further up the main street.See More

Buxted Circular - Thursday 28th March

This walk of 6 miles will start from the church car park, off Church Road, where some parking is possible, otherwise park where you can.  The walk will be on muddy, if not frozen, ground in places and numerous stiles.  Wellingtons or gaiters are advised.  The rewards are fine views across the High Weald, a rocky sandstone outcrop, oast houses, and an impressive railway viaduct.  Drink or lunch at the Buxted Inn. GeoffSee More

Sorry to bother you - if you even see this! But, Peter Hans (spelling?) has mentioned a few times about getting a digital SLR camera.

I don't have his contact details and might not see him for a while - so if you see him please could you pass on some info?

I just had a quick look and I see that there is a good deal for the Panasonic G3 with 14-42mm lens.

If he gets one and fills out an online form, before January 22nd, he can also get back £45 cashback.

Two good places to try are Jessops or Park Cameras at Burgess Hill - Jessops is a little bit cheaper, but Park Cameras is a better place to shop, in my opinion.Cheers
