Many people walk the paths around the old chalk pits at Offham, near Lewes .
But almost none of these paths is on the rights of way map so, in theory, any one of them could be stopped up at any time.

Have you tried to use the bridleway past Lewes racecourse buildings since June and found most of it fenced off? Or are you concerned to read that it has been fenced off?
The route with the problems is just north of the racecourse buildings, on the route that runs between Mount Harry at one end and Lewes Town Centre or Lewes Prison at the other.
